Terms of Service
Last updated: 18 August 2026
Draft. This is placeholder wording written to describe how the platform currently works. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and should be replaced with professionally drafted terms before EdVinci accepts real users or payments.
1. Who we are
EdVinci is an online learning platform for software and AI engineering. These terms cover your use of the EdVinci website and services.
2. Your account
You need an account to use most of EdVinci. When you create one you agree to provide an email address you control, and to keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
You may sign in with a password or through a third-party provider (Google, GitHub, or LinkedIn). Where you sign in through a provider, we rely on that provider confirming your email address before linking it to an existing EdVinci account.
3. Acceptable use
While using EdVinci, you agree not to:
- Share your account credentials or let someone else use your account.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform, other accounts, or our infrastructure.
- Copy, redistribute, or resell course material without written permission.
- Interfere with the service, including by automated scraping or excessive automated requests.
- Upload or submit content that is unlawful, or that infringes someone else’s rights.
4. Content and ownership
Course material, problem sets, and platform software remain the property of EdVinci or its licensors. Code and written work that you produce and submit remains yours; you grant us permission to store and process it so we can operate the platform and show it back to you.
5. Availability
We aim to keep EdVinci available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Features may change, and we may suspend or discontinue parts of the platform. Where a change is significant and we hold your email address, we will make a reasonable effort to tell you.
6. Ending your access
You may stop using EdVinci at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or where we are required to do so by law.
7. Liability
EdVinci is provided on an “as is” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the platform, including lost opportunities or lost data.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Continuing to use EdVinci after a change means you accept the updated terms.
9. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent to the contact address published on the EdVinci website.
